What the detour actually costs
Every stop is a number, not a guess. Navi routes it the same way it routes your whole trip, so the minutes are real.

A flower shop on the way to the airport isn't a two minute detour, it's two minutes each way plus ten inside. Navi builds that in, which is how you still make the pickup.
Ask from the road.
You don't have to plan the stop before you leave. Text Navi while you're in the car and it works from where you are. Share your location and it just knows, or tell it: "I'm crossing exit 12 on the GSP north, find me a rest stop before New York."
Say it like a person.
"We've got maybe 30 miles left in the tank, need to stop soon" works. So does "gas is almost on E." Navi figures out what you need and routes around it.
